Château La Commanderie is located at the heart of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation’s magnificent terroirs, on the border with Pomerol.
After being said to be amongst the best Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Chateau La Commanderie was raised to the rank of Grand Cru Classé in September 2012.

A 6-hectare vineyard on soils of gravel and ferruginous and clayey sand in the Saint-Emilion appellation.

Grape Varieties | 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc |
Harvest | Grapes are handpicked into small crates, sorted with an optical sorting system |
Vinification | Pre-fermentation cold maceration, malolactic punching down in barrels |
Ageing | 17 months in new barrel at 50% |
